BREAKOUT SESSIONS 
  • Job Readiness…Am I ready?  Session focused on preparing for employment, interviewing techniques, employer expectations, and workplace rules.
     

  • Skills for the Future:  Both soft skills and Independent living skills are the key to employment success. Participants will be able to identify essential skills needed to be successful in the workplace and home.
     

  • Disclosure and Self-Advocacy:  Understand your disability and what assistance may be needed to accomplish identified tasks.  This session will help the participant understand different types of disclosure and determining what to disclose.
     

  • Role Playing Session: To engage participants in understanding what to do and what not to do in an interview or on the job.
     

  • Hot Jobs and Career Choices:    Participants will review labor market data for the state and compare this to student interest for jobs. Session will showcase the new, updated and free career education tools and services available.
